How do you get a free Minecraft server?
Join the FlameHost Discord, invite friends using your personal invite link, and claim a server once you reach the required number of verified invites. Five invites unlocks a 2 GB server for 30 days. There is no credit card and no payment, ever.

Everything runs through our Discord — your dashboard, your personal invite link, and support from the team and community.

Invite your friends
Share your personal invite link. Every person who joins with a Discord account at least 7 days old becomes a verified invite once they clear our anti-abuse checks.

Claim your server
Reach a tier and claim it from the dashboard. Five verified invites unlocks 2 GB of RAM; thirty-five unlocks 8 GB. The invites are deducted and your server deploys in seconds.

Pick any Minecraft version — vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge — or install a modpack from CurseForge, Modrinth, FTB or Technic in one click. Then share your IP.
Why is it free? Where's the catch?
Servers cost real money to run, so it's fair to ask who's paying if you aren't. The answer is community growth: instead of charging a subscription, we ask you to bring people in. A bigger community is what keeps the hardware funded and the servers free.
The honest trade-off is that you pay with reach rather than money. If you have friends or a community, that's a good deal. If you have nobody to invite, you won't be able to claim anything — and we'd rather tell you that up front.

Each claim runs your server for 30 days. To renew, earn the same number of verified invites the plan originally cost and claim the renewal before your expiry date — a 4 GB server costs 10 invites to claim and another 10 to renew.
If a server does expire it's suspended rather than deleted, and your data is kept for a limited grace period. Renew within that window and your world comes back intact.
